Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch: France Collaborates with Israeli Army to Evacuate Palestinian Scholars from Gaza

He added: “The new evacuation operation planned for Wednesday is being carried out completely secretly and under the direct protection of the Israeli army.”

The head of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch continued: These people have been gathered in buses in the center of the Gaza Strip since morning and are being transferred to Ramon Airport under the protection of Israeli warplanes, and there is talk of their later transfer to Jordan via the King Hussein Bridge.

He noted that he had requested an immediate explanation from the French Consulate in Jerusalem, but to date he had not received a response, either from the consulate or from the French government. He stressed that the operation was being carried out within the framework of a broader Israeli plan to evacuate Gaza’s scientific and humanitarian elite, in coordination with international parties, especially France.

He noted that “there is a newly created unit within the far-right Israeli government that is engaged in the systematic and phased relocation of Palestinians with higher education, as well as bringing their families in the future, with the aim of changing the demographic and social structure of Gaza.”

Abdo stressed that French-Israeli cooperation in this regard is a clear violation of international law and exposes France to grave moral and legal responsibilities, especially given the country’s silence on forced displacements carried out under the guise of humanitarian evacuations.
