According to the International News Agency, Al-Azhar Egypt issued a statement strongly condemning the terrorist attack on a Muslim worshipper who was praying in an Egyptian mosque.
The statement, which was shared on Al-Azhar’s account on the X social network, states: Al-Azhar condemns the terrorist attack on a Muslim worshipper with dozens of stab wounds in the mosque of the city of La Grande-Combe in the Gard region in southeastern France.
Al-Azhar warned of the increase in the activities of white terrorist groups in Europe and the United States, adding: These groups hide behind destructive and false slogans such as “white race” and “white nationalism” to justify their heinous crimes against Muslims.
Al-Azhar stressed the need to adopt a global security strategy to confront this terrorist trend and called for an end to threats and crimes against Muslims. The Islamic institution concluded by expressing its condolences to the family of the slain Muslim worshipper.
