Iran Civil Aviation Organization files complaint against MKO terrorist group

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism- Farid Atalo, legal representative of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, announced the organization's complaint against the MKO terrorist group in the recent session of the court investigating MKO crimes.

 

According to Mashreq, Farid Atalo, legal representative of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, said in the recent session of the court investigating MKO crimes: The Civil Aviation Organization, as the government’s representative in exercising sovereignty over the aviation industry, is responsible for supervising civil aviation activities, preventing risks, and protecting public interests.

Atalo continued: “Considering the occurrence of several hijackings in the 1960s, according to the documents contained in the Mujahedin magazine, Nos. 161 and 212, by the People’s Mojahedin Organization, and the necessity of addressing the issue in accordance with the provisions of Article 23 of the Civil Aviation Law approved in 1328 AH and subsequent amendments, as well as the regulations contained in international documents, including the Tokyo Convention, the Hague Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft, 1970, the Montreal Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation, 1971, the International Convention for the Suppression of Hostages, 1979, Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention, 1944, the Anti-Terrorism Law, and the Islamic Penal Code, the Civil Aviation Organization has filed a complaint with the court, demanding investigation, prosecution, and severe punishment for the accused and perpetrators, including the legal entity of the Mujahedin Organization, its central cadres, and its members.”
