Al-Azhar: Iran-Israel war shows evolution of Zionist terrorism and its digital tools

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - Counter-Extremism Watch, Egypt's Al-Azhar Institute, published an article warning about the dangers of escalating recent military tensions between Iran and the Zionist regime, describing this war as a new chapter in the complex regional conflict, which despite its short duration, has profound effects on regional stability.

According to IRNA, citing Al-Ahram, the Al-Azhar Counter-Extremism Watch in an article considered the targeted assassinations of Iranian scientists and experts as the height of international terrorism and a violation of all humanitarian laws and principles by the Zionist regime, and discussed the heavy cost of this war at various levels, including severe scientific losses resulting from the assassination of elites and the destruction of vital infrastructure, and pointed to the possibility of other actors exploiting the security gaps resulting from this war.

Al-Azhar’s Counter-Extremism Observatory warned that the war has created a dangerous pattern of using technology as a weapon of mass destruction, including the use of artificial intelligence and cyber warfare, which are clear violations of international treaties, while the silence of the international community has reached a level of complicity and paved the way for more crimes against innocent civilians.

The Al-Azhar-affiliated body, emphasizing that legitimate resistance and collective awareness are the only way to confront this imminent danger, warns that the current “peace” is nothing more than a deceptive calm that has been formed before a new round of violence unless the international community takes action to end organized terrorism.

Al-Azhar’s Counter-Extremism Observatory believes that the main victims of this complex equation are innocent civilians who pay the price for the power-hungry conflicts of great powers in one of the most tense and unstable regions in the world.
