According to ISNA, Ammar Benjame, the Algerian representative to the Security Council, said: The aim of Israel’s aggression against Gaza is to expel Palestinians from their land through the use of a policy of ethnic cleansing.
He added: 63 percent of hospitals in the Gaza Strip are not operating and more than 100 ambulances have been destroyed. Israel is targeting medical institutions and their personnel in the Gaza Strip through systematic actions that amount to mass murder.
The Algerian representative stated: Israel deliberately burned Kamal Adwan Hospital to deprive residents of the northern Gaza Strip of treatment.
Ammar Benjame noted: Depriving residents of Gaza of treatment and forcing them to flee by targeting hospitals constitutes a war crime.
He added: “What we are witnessing in the Gaza Strip is a complete disregard for international law. The feeling of immunity and the guarantee of impunity reinforces Israel’s brutal actions in Gaza.”
Meanwhile, Linda Thomas Greenfield, the US representative to the Security Council, repeated the Zionist regime’s false claims and its justification for bombing hospitals in the Gaza Strip, claiming: Hamas is exploiting civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and using them to stockpile weapons and continue attacks on Israel.
Despite the killing of more than 45,000 people, including many women and children, in the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, the US representative claimed: Israel is not targeting Palestinian civilians in Gaza, but Hamas.
At the same time, the Russian representative to the Security Council said: The Israeli army, which is crazy about collective punishment, is destroying hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
He stated: Israel’s inhumane actions are reflected in its attacks on the northern Gaza Strip.
The Russian representative said: Gaza should not become a war zone and hospital personnel should be able to operate.
He added: Israel is challenging the entire international community with the cover of the United States, which provides it with support and weapons.
In this regard, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian representative to the Security Council, said: Do not forget the personnel in the Gaza Strip who are living in hellish conditions.
He added: Humanitarianism in the Gaza Strip has been put to the test and medical personnel are fighting to save lives in the wake of the attacks.
Riyad Mansour said: The Security Council must stop Israel’s aggression against Gaza as soon as possible and without any conditions.
