According to ISNA, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, said: Israel has implicitly admitted to committing war crimes in Gaza by advising its soldiers to avoid publishing images and scenes that are evidence against them in foreign legal proceedings and convictions.
In an interview with Anadolu Agency, she considered the Israeli army’s view of encouraging its forces to avoid publishing images and scenes shocking, adding: Instead of advising its soldiers not to commit crimes, Israel tells them to cover or blur their faces when sharing videos.
Albanese stressed: This is an admission by Israel that Israeli soldiers may commit crimes, and this is unacceptable.
He also rejected the continuation of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Gaza.
Referring to the recent escape of an Israeli soldier to Argentina after being on the verge of arrest in Brazil, Albanese stressed the importance of the international judicial authority.
He stated: Similar cases have been opened against Israeli soldiers in Germany and other European countries. The international judicial authority is a powerful tool for achieving justice when other tools fail.
The international judicial authority allows countries and international organizations to try individuals accused of crimes against humanity regardless of the place where these crimes were committed.
