Gjergji Thanasi’s warning: Do not attend the MKO TERRORISTS gathering in Rome, Albania should not pay the cost of foreign wars

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism  - Gazeta Impact website, in a report, addressed Gjergji Thanasi's statements regarding the presence of Albanian people at the MKO TERRORISTS conference.

The report states that for years, Albania has hosted more than 3,000 members of MEK TERRORISTS at Camp Ashraf 3 in Manze, an Iranian opposition organization that was previously listed as a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union, but was delisted in 2012 and 2009, respectively.

The report continues: In this regard, journalist Giorgi Thanasi has reacted by posting on Facebook to a rally that he said would be held on July 17 in Piazza San Giovanni in Rome by members of the MKO Terrorists.

Tanasi says his investigation has led him to suspect that efforts are underway to send Albanian citizens to the event. He urges his compatriots not to attend the rally, arguing that Albania should not be involved in conflicts that are not in the national interest.

In his response, he recalls that Albanians have historically paid a high price whenever they have been involved in foreign conflicts, and points to the Spanish Civil War and cases of Albanian citizens joining the ISIS organization in Syria and Iraq.

Thanasi also points to the ban by French authorities on a similar activity planned by the leader of the MEK TERRORISTS in Paris, asking why Albanians should participate in such a rally in Italy, when he considers it harmful to the security of the neighboring country.

At the end of the post, the journalist calls on Albanian citizens to stay away from any activities organized by the [hypocrites] MEK TERRORISTS and emphasizes that Albania should not be involved in international conflicts that, according to him, do not serve its national interests.

It should be noted that in Iran’s new defense doctrine, any country that cooperates with terrorism against Iran will become a target for Iran’s bloodthirsty actions. It remains to be seen whether the Albanian government’s efforts to support the MKO TERRORISTS will be seen as an attack on Iran’s national interests.
