Ayatollah Khamenei, in his Friday prayer sermons on October 16, 2024, referring to the victims of terrorism in the terrorist incidents of the 27 June and the 29 August in 1981, considered the attempt to physically assassinate people to be ineffective.

Referring to martyr Ayatollah Beheshti, and martyrs Rajaee and Bahoner as high-ranking officials of Iran in the early sixties, he said, in Islamic Iran for about three months in the summer of 1960, several prominent and distinguished personalities were assassinated, one of them Great personalities like Seyyed Mohammad Beheshti, Rajaei and Bahoner were the president and prime minister and Ayatollah Madani. Each of these were the pillars of the revolution at the national and local level, but the revolution did not stop [the people], but accelerated.

It should be noted that the terrorist group of the hypocrites, after the victory of the Islamic revolution, in coordination with the United States and Saddam’s Baathist regime, first entered into an armed war against the Islamic Republic in June 1360. But in the future, with the lack of public support, he also put the plan to assassinate civilians on the agenda. The assassination of Shahid Beheshti on July 7, 1360, and Shahid Rajaei and Bahoner in September of the same year, had no result but more hatred of the people towards this criminal group. The assassinations that killed more than 17,000 innocent people in Iran and this terrorist group based in Albania, even now, despite the passing of years, as a tool in the hands of the supporters of terrorism in the world, stop their crimes and sinister intentions against humanity. And they have not received human rights.
