Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission announced in his annual report, published in 23 April 2019, that in 2018, 11212 Afghan civilians have been killed or injured in Afghanistan. 3032 of them were killed and 8180 of them were injured. 68% were men, 8% were women and 21% or 2452 people were children.
Casualties in contrast with 2017 shows 19% increase but in 2018 shows 6% decrease in the number of killed and 32% increase in the number of injured.
Based on this report, antigovernment militias, governmental and international forces and ISIS (DAESH) are the causes of loses of peoples in Afghanistan. Furthermore, 27% of casualties were from complex and suicide attacks, 20% from conflicts in the fields, 19% from rocket attacks, 16% from land mines or IEDs and 8% from the air attacks.
