Wave of anger against Albanian Prime Minister after his visit to occupied territories

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to Israel and his speech in the Knesset, in which he praised Benjamin Netanyahu, was met with widespread criticism in Israel and his country. Arab representatives in the Knesset walked out of the hall in protest at the content of the speech, and a large number of Israeli representatives also did not attend the session, which was interpreted as a tacit boycott or disregard for the Albanian Prime Minister's visit.

According to Shafaqna , Arabi21 website wrote: In his speech, Rama held Hamas responsible for the situation in Gaza and ignored Israel’s crimes in the region, not mentioning the tens of thousands of Palestinian victims. He also praised Netanyahu as one of the “five best speakers in the world” and jokingly introduced himself as “the second best speaker in the world after Trump.”

In another part of his speech, Rama referred to his religious background, emphasizing that being Muslim and being anti-Semitic have nothing to do with faith, and considered anti-Semitism the worst betrayal of God.

In Albania, the visit sparked a wave of criticism. Historians and political activists accused Rama of exploiting the Israeli visit for domestic political purposes, ignoring the genocide in Gaza, and undermining the regime’s credibility.

At the grassroots level, the Albanian capital, Tirana, witnessed protests with Palestinian and Albanian flags against Rama’s visit, with police moving in to disperse the demonstrators. A wider “No on my behalf” protest is expected next Friday to show the Albanian people’s opposition to their prime minister’s positions.

Albania has been hosting the terrorist group MKO, and Edi Rama is using this hosting to achieve his goals in politics. That is, he is using the national interests of Albania for his own political interests. These abuses have also been revealed to the Albanian people, and recently we have witnessed protests against Edi Rama in this country.
