According to ISNA , the Organization of Islamic Cooperation warned of the increase in organized terrorism by Israeli settler groups with military support in the West Bank.
The organization called on the international community to take the necessary measures to immediately stop these attacks and hold the perpetrators accountable.
This position was expressed in a statement by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which consists of 57 countries, at the same time as settler attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank intensified.
The organization announced that it is following with concern the increase in organized terrorism by extremist settler groups supported by the Israeli occupation forces, and pointed to the siege and continuous attacks in recent days against the town of Qasra, south of Nablus.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation noted that these actions are a continuation of the crimes of massacres, settlement construction, land annexation, and destruction of infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, as well as targeting camps and efforts to displace Palestinians, and considered them a clear violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.
The organization once again called on the international community to take all possible diplomatic, legal and economic measures to pressure Israel to stop organized crimes.
The organization emphasized the need to activate international justice mechanisms to hold those responsible for these actions accountable based on international criminal law.
The state-run Voice of Palestine radio also announced that settlers attacked and shot at Palestinian homes in the Al-Buwayra area east of Hebron in the southern West Bank. The settlers carried out demolition and earthmoving operations east of the Deir Ammar settlement west of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
On the other hand, according to IRNA , the US ambassador to the occupied territories condemned the siege of a Palestinian family’s home in the village of Qasra in the West Bank by settlers, describing the action as “Israeli terrorism” and barbaric behavior; a stance that reflects the increasing criticism in Washington of the settlers’ extreme actions.
Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to the occupied territories, strongly condemned the siege of a Palestinian family’s home in the village of Qasra in the West Bank by Israeli settlers, calling their actions “Israeli terrorism.” In an interview with the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Huckabee emphasized that, contrary to some claims, the US embassy in Jerusalem was not indifferent to the incident. He said that the Israeli army and police took action at the request of the US to remove the settlers who were carrying out these actions. The US ambassador added: “What these people did to this family’s home is a crime.” He also described the actions taken to intimidate and harass this Palestinian family as “disgusting” and said that there is no justification for such barbaric behavior.
Huckabee, who is considered a staunch supporter of the Zionist regime, has previously taken clear positions on the West Bank, claiming that the region is an inseparable part of “Israel.” However, his recent statements about the settlers’ actions have had a wide impact in political and media circles in the United States and the occupied territories. The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the Qasra incident has increased political pressure on the Zionist regime in the United States. According to the report, officials from the White House, the US government, and members of Congress have demanded an explanation for the incident, and some US government officials have expressed surprise and concern about it.
The newspaper also wrote that US President Donald Trump’s advisers have criticized the Zionist regime, and that the incident has become an unpleasant and controversial issue for the regime’s allies in the US government.
According to published reports, settlers have established a settlement center near Palestinian homes in Qasra. Images published from the area also show the presence of Israeli army forces alongside settlers in the center.
The Zionist terrorist acts in the West Bank have also raised the voices of the traditional allies of this occupying regime.
Stephen Doty , the new British Minister of State for the Middle East, condemned the violence of the Zionist settlers in the West Bank and called for its immediate cessation. According to the Palestinian Information Center, Doty wrote in a message on the social network “X”, “The appalling and shocking acts of violence by the settlers and their terrorist acts that we are witnessing once again in the West Bank must stop.”
According to statistics from the Committee to Counter the Separation Wall and Settlements, in the first half of this year, Zionist settlers have carried out 3,488 attacks against Palestinian villages and cities, their residents, and their property.
Pope Leo XIV , the leader of the world’s Catholics, also called for an end to violence in the occupied West Bank. According to ISNA, the leader of the world’s Catholics wrote on the social network X: “I reiterate my call for an end to the ongoing violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.” He added: “I also urgently call on the international community to work to advance the two-state solution for a just and lasting peace.”
These statements by Pope Leo XIV were made at a time when the Zionist regime’s occupiers have intensified their attacks in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, and at the same time, violence and attacks by Zionist settlers against Palestinians and their property have also increased.
