Association for Defending of Victims of Terrorism – Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani, a Shiite leader, reacted to the events in Afghanistan in a message.
The message of the Shiite leader states: These days, the world is witnessing very horrible and unfortunate events that ashamed the conscience of humanity and the nature of human beings. Is it possible for a group to call themselves human beings, but commit all these crimes against their own kind? Violence and brutality of terrorists on one hand, and on the other hand, the silence of the world and the so-called advocates of human rights and organizations are shocking and embarrassing!
It is a grave and irreparable mistake to trust a group whose history of evil, murder and crimes is clear to the entire world! Due to my religious and humanitarian responsibility, I warn all governments and international bodies, especially the United Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to react to these atrocities and the martyrdom of many innocent people in Afghanistan and the displacement of thousands of people including men and women, young and old people, and children so that they can prevent from aggressions.
At the end of the message is, for sure, their silence today will cause regret and remorse in the future.
