Commemorating victims of terrorism, we can eradicate terrorism

Address to the United Nations Officials

On 16th June 2011, the United Nations Human Rights Council proclaimed 19th August as International day of Remembrance and tribune to the victims of terrorism.
Tribune to the victims of terrorism and emphasis on the role and their position in the fight against terrorism in the United Nations resolution is not only a valuable, admirable and effective act in the fight against the heinous phenomenon of terrorism, but also calls to the victims and survivors to participate in the global fight against terrorism. Victims and survivors of the heinous phenomenon who are suffering from physical, psychological and financial damages are the most important people who deserve to be supported, defended and encouraged to return to their ordinary life.
Although the pain of the victims of terrorism will not resolve completely, the existence of bodies like Human Rights Council provide opportunity to give a voice to the victims of terrorism to aware conscious in the world and provide the possibility of the victims meetings from around the world. It is crucial to adopt resolutions in order to support and defend the victims of terrorism.
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism commemorates the day and emphasizes the articles of the resolution which sympathize the victims of terrorism and accepted their role in fighting the heinous phenomenon of terrorism calls on:
1- The United Nations and Secretary General to regard the resolution and make the International day of Remembrance and tribune to the victims of terrorism an official day in the United Nations calendar.
2- States, bodies, and NGOs to emphasize on the articles of the resolution and commemorate this day in order to support and defend the victims of terrorism.
3- The human rights bodies to play a role in explaining the aspects of terrorism and suffering imposed on the victims of terrorism and collaborate with the victims of terrorism on order to reach to a world without terror.
4- All the states and international bodies concerned with fighting against terrorism to take an effective measure along with us in eradicating terrorism by remembrance of the victims of terrorism
