Statement of the Fifth Conference on Justice for Children was released
According to the public relations of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, the statement “Justice for Children” was read by one of the children at the end of the fifth “Conference of Justice for Children” organized by the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism in cooperation with the Children for Children’s Movement, Peace and Friendship Ambassadors, Martyr and Veterans Affairs Foundation, Municipality and Sanandaj Children and Adolescents Intellectual Development Center and on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of the mandate of Children and Armed Conflict in the United Nations and to commemorate children affected by armed conflict and terrorism.
In this article it is said Countries and organizations proclaim different days to support children, and the United Nations celebrated 18 January as the anniversary of establishing mandate of Special Representative of Children and Armed Conflict.
In another part of the article it is stated that according to the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, a child is any person from infancy to the age of 18 who enjoys certain civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights such as the right to life, the right to a name and identification, the right to have a family and to be with parents, the right to freedom of expression and opinion and to be heard, the right to have physical and mental security, the right to be free from psychological and physical violence and the right to privacy, etc.
Then, we read in the statement that terrorism in various forms is the most important violation of children’s rights in our world, and innocence is the best attribute for children who have been affected by this heinous phenomenon and children have understood its painful experience with all their being and little heart. The devastated world of children is vast; Children who have lost their lives, children who have lost their health and future, children who have lost their brothers or sisters, and most importantly, children who have lost their parents.
At the end of the statement the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism and Children’s Movement for Children along with the municipal organizations of Kurdistan Province of Iran called on all organizations, figures and activists of children’s rights and human rights in the national and international arenas, especially the United Nations, to assist them in achieving justice for these prosperous young people. So, after many years bring to justice the terrorist groups such as the Democrats, Komoleh, PJAK and the Hypocrites (MEK) who have committed these atrocities against the people of Kurdistan with the complicity of Saddam, the former criminal of Iraq.
