Expert meeting on ” Terrorism From the Perspective of Monotheistic Religions”

History is full of terrorist acts depriving human life through various incentives, endangering rights, fundamental freedoms and security of all societies. Today, terrorism is no longer a national threat but developed and transferred into an international threat, infringing peace and security of the world.

Monotheistic religions are messengers of peace and justice, calling humans to be kind to each other, observing each other’s rights, condemning any kind of violence and atrocities in order not to exist  any ground for violence.

The message of Monotheistic religions needs to be clearly conveyed to all humanity, to be used as a guide, and to become a distinguished part of human progress towards development and prosperity.

Monotheistic religions and all prominent figures have struggled for peace and justice emphasizing the rights of foe and friend to be observed alike.

ADVT firmly believes that confronting terrorism is a rigid way requiring a global-scale persevering effort. Although states and international organizations have fought a long fight against this challenge, the fact is that humans of current century has experienced great sufferings from terrorism highlighting the necessity of Monotheistic religions’ contribution in confronting terrorism culturally. Hence, the following results are promulgated in order to urge the religious clerics and elites to make further attempts.

-Establishing an international system of administration to confront terrorism

-Utilizing the capacity of divine religions to confront violent extremism

– Desacralizing terrorist groups such as Daesh(ISIL), Ahrar Al- Sham , Al- Nusra Front and Mojahedin Khalq which abuse sacred symbols and metaphors in a sinister endeavor to impose the will of the great powers upon human societies.
