“lawsuit for Child Victims of Terrorism” at 34st Regular Session of the Human Rights Council

34st regular session of the Human Rights Council (29 February to 24 March 2017) was held in Geneva. UNHRC is one of UN’s body and of subsidiary organ for general assembly having the duty of revealing the violations of human rights.
A delegation led by “association for defending victims of terrorism” participated in this session in order to hold some meetings with some prominent international figures about human rights affairs and also to hold some expert panels relating to human rights of victims of terrorism.
In this session, ADVT set up a panel with the subject of “lawsuit for child victims of terrorism”. Its contribution as well as participation in other human rights panels, registering written statements on the UNHRC’S website and reading the verbal statement was other particular activities in this round of mission.
International organizations have been established in many countries to defend the rights of children. ADVT and children’s movement for children have initiated “Lawsuit for child Victims of Terrorism Campaign” and it will last until the terrorist leaders would be brought to justice, Children in different parts of the world are victims of terrorism directly or indirectly. Those who have witnessed losing their parents, and the families who have lost their children, have great grief.
“International Children’s Movement for Children” and “Lawsuit for Child Victims of Terrorism” campaign have provided an opportunity for revealing the truth and gathering evidence on what has happened to child victims of terrorism. So, ADVT calls on international assemblies to facilitate the way in order to achieve the goal.
In UNHRC’s this session more than 100 high-level dignitaries attended by and discussed human rights violations in countries.
