Arabs in Israel protest against government involvement in domestic crimes

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism – The High Follow-Up Committee for Arabs of Israel launched a three-day sit-in protesting against the Israeli government’s involvement in domestic violence among Arab communities in Israel, Safa News Agency reported.

According to Safa, the Follow-Up Committee set up a tent before the Israeli government headquarters in Jerusalem, accusing it of supporting active gangsters in the Palestinian-majority cities and neighbourhoods.

The tent will be open for protesters on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am until 7 pm the Follow-Up Committee, which invited mass media and ambassadors to attend the protest, confirmed.

Recent reports revealed that 76 Arabs have been killed, including six women and two children, in gang crimes among Arab communities in Israel since the start of 2023.

More than 215 were killed in 2021 and 2022 due to crimes among the Arab community in Israel.

Arabs accused the Israeli occupation police of supporting gangsters carrying out these crimes with its feeble fight against criminals and ignoring black market arms trade.
