Germany.. Two Syrians accused of belonging to ISIS and committing war crimes

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism – The Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Germany announced that charges have been brought against two Syrians believed to be members of ISIS and suspected of committing war crimes in their country. They are also accused of kidnapping hostages and subsequent killings.

The German Public Prosecution filed a lawsuit before the Higher Regional Court in Dusseldorf against two Syrians on charges of “belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS and committing war crimes and murder in Syria.”

The prosecution accuses the two men, who have been held in pretrial detention since last March, of kidnapping and killing people in the name of the organization. The State Security Department in court will decide on the lawsuit filed and will set a trial date if the lawsuit is accepted.

 

The two men are accused of committing two kidnappings that resulted in deaths, while one of them is also accused of murder in connection with actions dating back to 2013 and 2014, in the context of the civil war in Syria, according to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office responsible for terrorism cases in Karlsruhe.

The two suspects, identified as Muhammad A., were arrested. And Ismail K., last March in the cities of Essen and Wiesbaden in western Germany. The Federal Public Prosecution Office explained that Muhammad A. In 2012, he founded an armed group with about 50 members. He later joined the “terrorist group” called “The Prophet’s Descendants,” and then the Islamic State at the end of 2013.

When he was a member of the “Descendants of the Prophet” group, Muhammad A. planned to… He led an attack on a Syrian security forces building in 2013 in Damascus.

He is later suspected of heading a group of 200 ISIS fighters, and also led the 2013 kidnapping of two opponents of the jihadist group in Damascus. These two were executed in mid-January 2014, along with ten other detainees, according to the Public Prosecution in Karlsruhe.

According to the accusations, Ismail K. participated. He has been a presumed member of the Islamic International organization since 2013. He has been in the custody of one of the two victims. He also monitored the twelve detainees at the execution site and shot at least one of them.
