A march of thousands of supporters of Palestine in front of the White House
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - Thousands of Palestinian supporters in cities across the United States gathered in front of the White House to protest Biden's policies towards the Gaza war and his support for the Zionist regime.
According to ISNA, hundreds of protesters held a red banner around the White House and asked US President Joe Biden to change his approach to the Gaza war and continued support for the Zionist regime.
According to NBC News, protesters chanted “Biden, Biden, you can’t hide yourself, we are your red line.”
Nas Issa, one of the protesters from the Palestinian youth movement present in these protests, said: “The goal is to draw a red line so that Biden does not draw a red line regarding Israel’s genocide in Gaza and say that we, as people, draw a red line today to say that The other situation is enough. “Now is the time for an arms embargo and to stop sending weapons to Israel.”
Protesters set up tents in Ellipse, a 52-acre park just south of the White House. Some protesters told ABC News that student community organizers led the movement to stage a rally.
According to the posts of one of the organizing groups on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), some protesters from cities including New York, Philadelphia and Boston had boarded a bus to participate in this protest march in front of the White House.
Organizers and politicians, including Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and Socialist Party candidate Claudia Delacruz, criticized the Biden administration in their speeches in the park in front of the White House.
“Biden can stop the genocide that’s going on in Gaza right now,” Delacruz said. He could have stopped it, but it was against all his interests. So we are here to say that we are the red line.”
Protesters’ messages ranged from calls for an end to the war and a change in US policy towards the Gaza war to calls against a two-state solution.
Since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s relentless attacks on the Palestinian nation on October 7, the United States has remained the regime’s largest financial and arms supplier, and there is no prospect of a ceasefire at the moment. This is when the crimes of the Zionists have reached their peak and in the latest attacks on the “Al-Nusirat” refugee camp, more than 200 Palestinians were martyred and more than 37,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, died.
