warning to supporters of terrorism in the “I Am Your Advocate” campaign

On the occasion of International Children's Day (November 20 - November 19), the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, in cooperation with the Tehran City Education Department, the National Authority for the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Group of Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship, held the "I Am Your Advocate" conference with the presence of city and provincial officials, families of terror victims, and human rights activists.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms. Mansoureh Karami, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, welcomed the audience and guests of the conference and said, “If we want to continue the path of the martyrs, we must be diligent in the scientific advancement of the country.” Martyr Ali Mohammadi’s wife continued, “Martyr Ali Mohammadi was also always thinking about improving the welfare of the people and increasing the scientific capacity of the country, and although he had the opportunity to be in foreign countries, he stayed in his country to contribute to the scientific prosperity of the country.”

Continuing the conference, Qasem Bayani, head of the Education Department of Region 14, referring to the dangers of cyberspace for students, said that efforts should be made in this space so that the oppressor and the oppressed do not change places, and that students can thwart the conspiracies of the enemies by increasing their awareness.

In another part of the conference, Mohammad Aligo, Director General of the National Authority for the Convention on the Rights of the Child, stated that children’s rights are among the first and most important rights that everyone in the world must respect. He continued, “We must guarantee these rights for children.” In another part of his speech, he said, “This slogan, ‘I am your advocate,’ is a very meaningful slogan because it means that all students are advocates for all students who have been involved in terrorism and crimes against humanity.”

Continuing the conference, Seyyed Ahmad Mousavi, deputy director of education for the Tehran Education Department, said that the number of more than 17,000 martyrs of terror is disturbing. Criminals have no boundaries for their crimes and attack hospitals, schools and civilian areas to achieve their goals, while we, based on our religious and moral teachings, never harm civilians.

The next speaker of the conference, Ms. Tayyiba Mohammed, Director of the Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship Group, stated that in cooperation with the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, they are seeking to hold an international conference on the rights of child victims of terrorism and with the participation of students participating in the “I Am Your Advocate” campaign. She continued, by holding this conference, we want to show that we are seeking to defend the rights of child victims.

At this ceremony, the statement of Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, as well as the statement of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism on the occasion of International Children’s Day, were read by the students.

In part, the statement of the UN Secretary-General stated that it is shocking that in the 21st century, children are still hungry, illiterate or without even the most essential health care. The fact that children are caught in the grinding wheel of poverty and disaster and are killed and maimed in violent conflicts is a disgrace to the conscience of humanity.

In another part of this statement, we read, every child has the right to live in peace, health and security. Let us protect and support children today and every day, because they are significantly influential in transforming our world into a better, brighter and more peaceful place.

The son of martyr Sadeqi, one of the martyrs of terror, read the statement of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism. In part of this statement, it is stated that International Children’s Day is an opportunity to fulfill the cry of anger of Iranian students against the world’s oppressors and criminals claiming human rights, in order to make the voices of the millions of innocent people who were martyred at the hands of terrorist groups and warmongers heard by the world. In another part of the statement, it is emphasized that we Iranian students, while commemorating this international day, pledge to be advocates for children and students who were martyred at the hands of terrorist criminals such as the evil group of the MKO, Jundal Shaitan, the German Thunder group and the American ISIS. In this way, we will never forget the role of Western governments in the crimes of terrorist groups in Iran and we warn the countries of the United States, France, Albania, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Canada to stop supporting terrorist groups, because one day they will have to answer for their support of criminals. We Iranian students, today, with the slogan #I_am_your_ advocate, have stepped on the path of supporting rights and justice, and from this position, we call on all students of the world to join us and work together to build a world without terror, war and violence.

The performance of the anthem and a student competition were other programs of the conference. At the end of the ceremony, the students signed a petition in defense of the rights of children who were victims of terror, which is to be presented to international audiences in world forums.
