Workshop on Youth Victims of Terrorism in Pakistan
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in collaboration with the National Counter-Terrorism Centre and the European Union, held a four-day consultative workshop on youth victims of terrorism in Pakistan from 18 to 21 November (28 Aban to 1 Azar 1403).
The workshop was attended by more than 20 Pakistani officials and 24 non-governmental organizations. The aim of the four-day workshop was to understand the conditions facing Pakistani youth due to the presence of terrorism and to encourage the development of effective ways to combat it.
At the event, four networks were formed to focus on youth, media relations, decision-making and victim support.
The event emphasized the importance of listening to the voices of Pakistani youth and addressing their needs in future support strategies in countering terrorism.
The four-day workshop is part of the Counter-Terrorism and Prevention Project in Pakistan, which is implemented by the National Counter-Terrorism Centre in Pakistan and funded by the European Union.
