According to ILNA, Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, rejected the Israeli regime’s request to review the arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of War Yoav Gallant.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office had previously announced that it would object to the ICC’s decision to arrest Netanyahu and Gallant.
The ICC announced last Wednesday that it had issued international arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant on charges of “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” over the Gaza war.
Issuing an arrest warrant for a war criminal like Netanyahu is one side of the story, and executing it is another. Now, European countries such as France and the Netherlands, which initially announced that they would recognize the Court’s ruling, are backing down from their previous position and are looking for a way to justify their double standards towards international law, a law that no longer has any international flavor and has become more like a tool of Western countries against other nations.
