Baqaei’s reaction to the US’s unprincipled action against Cuba under the pretext of terrorism
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism- Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran considered the US's accusations against Cuba and the re-adding of the country's name to the so-called list of states sponsoring terrorism as unjustified, baseless and rejected.

In an interview, Ismail Baqaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejected the re-adding of Cuba’s name to the so-called list of states sponsoring terrorism, referring to the long history of such baseless and arbitrary listings and considered using this method as a tool to advance US foreign policy contrary to international principles and standards.
He said: Defaming other countries is an act contrary to the principles and standards of international law that is used to find an excuse to impose unilateral and cruel sanctions against independent nations.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “Such unilateral actions by a permanent member of the Security Council not only violate the fundamental human rights of the Cuban people, but also further weaken the rule of law at the international level and promote lawlessness, and must be opposed by the international community.”
