According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marzieh Afkham, Director General of Human Rights and Women of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, described the recent resolution of the European Parliament, in which unjust accusations have been raised regarding the human rights situation and women’s rights in Iran, as a repetitive action and indicative of an interventionist and politicized approach in this European institution, and considered it to be devoid of any legal validity.
Ms. Afkham, while condemning this irresponsible resolution of the European Parliament, emphasized: The judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a professional and independent branch, and judicial processes in Iran are always based on the law and through a fair trial process.
