Rehabilitation event held at the 4th Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - As part of the 4th Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum and in collaboration with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Center (UNCCT) of the United Nations Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) organized an event on the theme of rehabilitation and reintegration of children affected by terrorism.
The event, titled “Rehabilitation and Reintegration: Addressing Challenges and Finding Opportunities,” was held in Riyadh on 24 February 2025. It brought together representatives of Member States and UN entities, as well as experts from relevant regional organizations and humanitarian agencies involved in the rehabilitation and reintegration of children and adults affected by armed conflict and terrorism.
The experts shared national and regional experiences. Discussions also focused on identifying areas for increased technical assistance to support the design and implementation of human rights-compliant, gender- and age-sensitive rehabilitation and reintegration strategies and interventions through whole-of-government and whole-of-society approaches.
