Rejection of the claim of the annual report of the Dutch National Security Agency; Iran has spent more than any other country on combating terrorism

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in The Hague, while rejecting the claims contained in the annual report of the Dutch National Security Agency, denied any involvement of Iran in such events.

The statement of the Iranian Embassy in the Netherlands states: Iran is the biggest victim of terrorism and, more than any other country, has a strong will to fight terrorism in all its forms. These baseless claims are nothing but attempts by some to portray the oppressed and gain status and privileges from the host government.

Unfortunately, many individuals and organizations that have committed terrorist acts in Iran and sometimes even admit and boast about it, operate in Europe under the umbrella of support of these countries and are the source of many such claims.

The spokesperson claimed that the reason for summoning the Iranian ambassador was “suspicion of Tehran attempting to carry out two assassinations in Europe.”

The Dutch intelligence agency claimed in its annual report that two people were arrested in June 2024 on charges of attempting to assassinate an Iranian resident in the country.

The presence of the Ahvazi separatist terrorist group in the Netherlands shows that the country has become a haven for terrorists. The hegemonic regime seeks to use countries that have a more modern cultural face to carry out its hegemonic actions. The use of countries such as Sweden and the Netherlands to host terrorism and implement the plans of terrorist groups is part of the global plan behind the scenes of terrorism against Iran.
