For the first time in the history of the MKO organization, a family was able to completely leave the headquarters of this terrorist group.
According to a political reporter Tasnim News Agency , for the first time in the history of the MKO organization, a family was able to completely leave the headquarters of this terrorist group.
This incident occurred at Camp Ashraf 3, where in recent years, the departure of personnel, even individually, has been very difficult, and the peak of the flight was when leaving Iraq.
The departure of a family of five together, and how this family, despite the strict policies of the MKO, was able to communicate with each other and convince each other to leave, is very strange and a clear sign of the MKO’s organizational collapse.
According to information received by Tasnim, “Forough Shahkarami” along with his father “Ali”, his mother “Farzaneh Khademi”, and his two siblings “Nasim” and “Masoud” are the people who managed to leave Ashraf 3.
Over the past year, despite the group’s tight control, this family has secretly maintained their connection and has finally come to the conclusion that continuing to be part of the MKO terrorist organization means destroying their individual and family lives.
The collapse of the internal taboo of the hypocrites
What makes this departure historic is not just the decision of a family to leave the organization, but also the breaking of one of the organization’s most important taboos: family separation.
According to Tasnim, from the 1960s onwards, Massoud Rajavi’s policy was based on the complete separation of members from the family. Husbands and wives were forced to divorce, children were separated from their parents, and any family affection was suppressed as an “obstacle to the struggle.” To this day, the label of “not transcending individuality” has been used as one of the components of the humiliation of members for not having an internal revolution (Mary’s revolution) in addition to transcending gender.
However, the success of this family in establishing secret communication and convincing each other to leave indicates the weakening of the walls of control and the fragility of Ashraf 3’s internal relations.
For an organization that has kept members isolated for three decades through “forced divorce,” “humiliation sessions,” and “ideological brainwashing,” such a rift could be the beginning of a new trend.
Attempting to conceal
According to an informed source, in response to this unprecedented exodus, the leaders of the MKO have adopted a policy of concealment, and Zahra Marikhi, the organization’s top official, has ordered a house to be provided for the family in Tirana to provide them with a minimum livelihood while preventing them from contacting the media or returning to Iran.
This decision reflects the deep concern of the MKO group about the spread of this wave, because publishing news of the family’s departure could make other members think about collective salvation.
Internal pressures: From false promises to daily humiliation
The escape of this family, as a symbol of the terrible collapse of the establishment and the MKO, is understandable in the context of circumstances that have put its members in a bind for years.
Endless promises of overthrow: Since the early 1960s, the organization’s leadership has promised every year that “the Islamic Republic will fall by next year.” This false promise, repeated many times, has led to the moral erosion of members and the loss of their hopes.
Forced separations: Members are not only cut off from their original families, but they are also denied the right to marry and form new families. Husbands and wives are forcibly divorced, and any romantic relationship is considered a “betrayal of the leadership.”
Humiliation and Coercion Sessions: Sessions known as “Operation Current” and “Weekly Bath” have been a tool of mind control and psychological humiliation for years. In these sessions, members are forced to confess their personal thoughts and feelings and are reprimanded under collective pressure.
Strict personal control: Daily life in Ashraf 3 is under constant surveillance. Leaving the compound freely is prohibited, and any request to leave is met with accusations of “being a mercenary.”
The political meaning of family escape
The abandonment of Ashraf 3, by a family, is more than an individual event; it marks the beginning of a political-organizational process.
If until yesterday, sporadic departures were presented as “personal weakness,” today, the collective separation of a family is a direct blow to the ideological foundation of the organization, which was fundamentally based on the negation of the family and the replacement of the “relationship with the leadership.”
The escape sends a clear message to other members trapped in the Ashraf 3 compound that it is possible to return to normal life, even after years of oppression. It also shows that the organization’s organizational control loop, no matter how tight, is no longer impenetrable.
An uncertain future for the Albanian establishment
All this while external pressure on the MKO has increased in recent years.
The Albanian government has repeatedly warned about the violations committed by members of the MKO in the country’s internal affairs and imposed restrictions on their activities. European media have also referred to Ashraf 3 as a “silent prison.”
Now, with the first family escape, we can expect a new wave of rifts within the organization.
Many members, who have been entertained by false promises for years, will likely conclude that leaving is the only way out.
Imposed silence and fear of expansion
The MKO’s policy of concealing this family’s departure also reflects the deep fear of repercussions for the leaders of this group. Giving this family a house in Tirana is not out of compassion, but a means to buy silence and prevent the truth from being revealed.
However, experience has shown that such accommodation measures cannot prevent the gradual collapse of the establishment.
