Former terrorist, Al-Jolani, removed from Türkiye’s sanctions list

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - On Saturday, the President of Türkiye issued a decree lifting the seizure of the assets of Abu Muhammad al-Julani and his Minister of the Interior.

According to Eqtased News, citing ISNA, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a decree lifting the seizure of the assets of Abu Muhammad al-Julani (Ahmad al-Sharaa), the self-proclaimed president of Syria, and his Interior Minister Anas Khattab.

According to the text of the decree published in the Turkish Official Gazette, the decision was based on updates published by the UN Security Council on the lists of sanctions related to combating terrorism and amendments made to the ones previously subject to asset freezes.

Turkey’s decision came a day after the US and Britain officially announced the lifting of sanctions on Al-Sharaa and Khattab after the UN Security Council voted on Thursday to remove them from the UN sanctions list. The draft resolution, drafted by Washington, was supported by 14 countries, while China abstained.

On the other hand, the European Union spokesperson said on Saturday that the Union will take a similar step and that the UN Security Council’s decision to lift sanctions against the Syrian president and his interior minister will directly affect the actions the EU will take in the coming period.

The division of terrorists into good and bad is wrong. We have only one type of terrorist: the dependent terrorist. All terrorists are dependent on the structures of the power system in the world. A terrorist survives to the extent that he can fulfill his main mission. The main mission of a terrorist is insecurity, and the result is the plunder of the material and human resources of countries. The terrorist Muhammad al-Julani, who, with the cooperation and support of the Erdogan government, created the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham to commit crimes against its people, and Ahmed al-Sharaa, who, with a diplomatic gesture, gave the land and sky of Syria to his enemies, are two sides of the same coin and will remain on this scene until the main goal of the hegemony system, which is to plunder the material and human wealth of his country, is achieved. Now, his name is being removed from the lists of terrorist groups so that the international hegemony system is further disgraced and its terrorist nature is revealed.
