Associated Press: Trump administration conceals results of Minab school attack investigation
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - The Associated Press reported that the US government is trying to hide the results of the investigation into the crime against humanity of the attack on the Minab girls' school.
According to Mehr News Agency , more than 120 days have passed since the bombing of a girls’ elementary school in Minab by the United States, which resulted in the martyrdom of 168 children and adults, and the United States is still immersed in deadly official silence.
Despite the US military having almost immediate evidence that the school had been hit, the Associated Press report revealed that the Trump administration has yet to accept direct responsibility and has not officially announced the results of a Pentagon investigation into the incident on February 28.
According to the report, information about the attack is based on a comparison of videos, human rights reports, and interviews with eyewitnesses and researchers.
A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the US military was aware of the school attacks, citing “systematic deficiencies” in the Pentagon’s target identification and analysis process.
The Associated Press adds that despite the passage of 120 days since the incident, the fate of the Pentagon report remains unclear, as US President Donald Trump emphasized in his recent statements that he was not aware of the report and expressed doubt about US responsibility for the attack.
Israeli Defense Minister Pete Hegsett also said that the report would be released “at the appropriate time.” The release of the results of the investigation has even sparked criticism in the US Congress, which is demanding transparency about the tragedy.
