The secret of the assassination of the martyred leader from the words of a Malaysian expert in Tehran: Efforts for Muslim unity

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism  - The chairman of the Malaysian Islamic Organizations Advisory Council, who is in Iran to attend the farewell ceremony for the martyred leader, told IRNA International Correspondent: America and Israel have finally reached this conclusion: the only person who can thwart their plans against Iran and the Islamic Ummah is Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Iran Online, Dr. Azmi Abdul Hamid, Chairman of the Malaysian Islamic Organizations Advisory Council, is one of the guests at the funeral of the martyred leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. In an interview with IRNA, he stated, “I had the opportunity to meet with the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei three times during my trips to Iran. What was most noticeable in his personality was his utmost humility and modesty. However, the messages he conveyed to the people were quite clear and explicit; why Muslims should be united, why resistance is of fundamental importance, and why the power of the Islamic Ummah should be strengthened.”

The most important personality trait of the martyred leader that I would like to point out is his leadership quality, which is very rare in the Islamic world today. He was decisive, yet very humble, and with the same spirit, he invited the people of the world to accept Islam as a solution.

He continued, “Ayatollah Khamenei always reminded Muslims that unless they unite, they will never be able to confront the challenges of the enemies of Islam who intend to destroy the Islamic Ummah. Once, when I was a guest of the martyred leader, he entered and shook hands with those present. When they reached me, I said, ‘I am from Malaysia.’ He was very happy and said, ‘Please convey my greetings to the leaders of Malaysia, to Dr. Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim.’ Ayatollah Khamenei told me that he had a very good and positive feeling about Malaysia and that he was following its developments. In another meeting, I was also present at a meeting where he was giving a speech. I found it interesting that Ayatollah Khamenei always welcomes Malaysia and considers it a very important country.

In another part of his speech, the Malaysian expert said, “My other memory of Ayatollah Khamenei is when he spoke during a speech about the necessity of Malaysia playing a leadership role for Muslims and emphasized that Malaysia can play an important role in guiding and advancing the Islamic Ummah around the world.”

If we look at Iran after the 1979 revolution, we will see that Iran was the only Muslim country that stood firmly against the hegemony of the West, especially the United States. After Ayatollah Khamenei took over the leadership of Iran after the death of Ayatollah Khomeini, he showed a very clear direction.

Ayatollah Khamenei was a visionary, very learned and insightful person, and he clearly identified who the real enemies of the Islamic Ummah were. That is why he always tried to show that creating divisions within the Islamic Ummah, including fueling Shia-Sunni differences and similar issues, was part of the enemies’ strategy.

The martyred leader believed that resistance to the policies of the enemies should be formed in all areas; whether in the economy or in knowledge and scientific advances. He believed that we must break free from the domination and control of the West. The West saw Ayatollah Khamenei as a leader who could unite the Islamic Ummah, and the unity of the Islamic Ummah would be the most powerful weapon against the domination of Israel and the United States.

I think the West came to the conclusion that if Ayatollah Khamenei was not assassinated, his ideas would spread throughout the world and would be able to influence many countries in the world. That is why the US and Israel targeted him.

Of course, the Western policy was not only aimed at Ayatollah Khamenei. They also pursued a strategy of eliminating those who followed the martyred leader. Ultimately, America and Israel came to the conclusion that the only person who could thwart their plans against Iran and the Islamic Ummah was Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He concluded by saying that America thought that if it removed Ayatollah Khamenei, everything would collapse, but this thought was not true. Today, we see that the movement that the martyred leader started is becoming stronger day by day, and the Muslims of the world are now more awakened than ever. The intellectual and political legacy of Ayatollah Khamenei is very important, and we continue to refer to his guidance.
