Verdicts issued for 7 defendants in Shah Cheragh terrorist incident case
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism- With the completion of the investigation into the charges of the elements supporting the terrorist attacks on the Shah Cheragh shrine (AS) in the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, the Chief Justice of Fars Province announced the issuance of verdicts for 7 defendants in the case.

According to Khabar Online, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Seyyed Sadrollah Rajaei Nasab said in an interview with Mizan: In the terrorist attacks on the Shah Cheragh shrine (AS), in addition to the main elements of the attack who were punished for their actions; other individuals were also prosecuted as supporters and involved in providing weapons, magazines, and ammunition. With the intelligence measures that were put on the agenda of the special investigator and security institutions after these incidents, these elements were identified and their subsequent terrorist actions were neutralized and arrested.
The Chief Justice of Fars Province stated: The terrorist attacks on the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh had various dimensions, and the judicial system, in cooperation with security institutions, while pursuing all aspects of this case, tried to prosecute and punish all the factors involved in this matter in accordance with the crime committed and within the framework of Islamic and legal regulations.
In this regard, he stated that the investigation of the charges against the 7 defendants in this case has been on the agenda of the first branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz since Esfand 1403, and said: After holding court sessions and announcing the end of the investigation by the court president, 3 of these defendants were sentenced to the most severe punishment on charges of aiding and abetting corruption on earth.
The Chief Justice of Fars Province said: These three people, who were in a way the masterminds and the main axis of terrorist actions inside the country, were also charged with aiding and abetting Moharebeh, and in this regard, each was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
The Chief Justice of Fars Province also announced the sentencing of two other members of the ISIS group in this case, adding: “Considering the extent of their cooperation and influence in the terrorist incidents at the Shah Cheragh Shrine, these two members of the ISIS group were sentenced to 15 years and the other defendant to 10 years and one day of imprisonment, respectively.”
Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Rajaei Nasab continued by referring to the sentencing of the two female defendants in this case, saying: “These two defendants were also sentenced to 5 years in prison each, and the punishment of these two defendants will be carried out with Islamic mercy, under the supervision of an electronic tracking system, and within a thousand meters of their residence, considering the special circumstances.”
The Chief Justice of Fars Province announced that part of this case, on charges of selling and possessing weapons and ammunition, will be handled by Criminal Court No. 1, and noted: “This part of the case is also being handled by the competent authority.”
In the end, the Chief Justice of Fars Province explained various legal cases regarding the two terrorist incidents at the Shah Cheragh Shrine with the aim of enlightening public opinion and added: The most important and sensitive legal case regarding the terrorist incidents at the Shah Cheragh Shrine was related to the trial and issuance of verdicts for the field and operational agents and the main supervisors of the two terrorist attacks, which was concluded on two occasions in 1402 and 1403 with the execution of the verdicts of the defendants.
Stating that another case regarding the lawsuit of the families of the martyrs and those injured due to the actions of the terrorist group at the Shah Cheragh Shrine was held in Branch 55 of the International Court of Justice, Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Rajaei Nasab said: This case also deals with the legal claims and material and moral damages of the families of the martyrs and veterans due to the terrorist attacks, and this section is within the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice in Tehran.
He called the investigation into the charges of the supporting elements of the terrorist incidents that led to the issuance of a verdict the third case related to this crime and noted: Other parts of the case, according to the charges, were within the jurisdiction of the Criminal Courts of Fars Province 1 and Criminal Court 2 of Shiraz, which were investigated and issued verdicts at different times. The Chief Justice of Fars Province finally reminded that in the recent case related to the initial conviction of the supporting elements of the terrorist attacks on the Shah Cheragh Shrine, a number of the defendants submitted to the issued verdicts and some of the verdicts have been objected to by the defendants’ lawyers within the framework of legal standards, which is currently being heard in the Supreme Court.
