On December 27, 1981 at 5 p.m when we arrived at a gas station on Valiasr Street in Tehran, suddenly a powerful bomb went off. At first, I thought there was a technical problem with our car. But I was wrong. At that time I witnessed all around. I saw all remains of trees were falling dawn around. I couldn’t hear anything. It was an absolute silence. I had held my 19 months son Armtin in my arms.

I saw he was crying but couldn’t hear his voice. It was horrifying. When I saw my husband is unconscious and I myself had no sense in some part of my body I felt myself in the border of two worlds. In that time I begged the God to make a favor to me as to hold my son safe and sound. Thanks God, he did so. My husband in this terrorist action was victimized and I became paralyzed.

Ms. Golrogh Mehri who is from the Zoroaster minority is one of thousand women as victims of terrorism. She hopes that all international communities make an attempt to uphold the respect and dignity of women as victims of terrorism. 35 years tolerance over this barbaric terrorist action carried out by some heinous terrorist elements of Mojahedin Gkalgh reflects a great hope in the nature of this great Iranian woman to make the innocence voice of victims of terrorism heard no matter what color, religion, ethnic or culture they have.
