ADVTNGO – Muslim US Congresswoman said “Saudi Arabia sends a terrorist to train with our military, yet most of our leaders are whitewashing Saudi ties to another attack on America.”
Ilhan Omar, one of the US Congresswomen, who is a tenacious critic of Donald Trump, said on Twitter: “Saudi Arabia sends a terrorist to train with our military, yet most of our leaders are whitewashing Saudi ties to another attack on America. If this was Iran we would be calling for accountability. Why can’t we hold the biggest exporter of terrorism in the world accountable?”
It was Omar’s reaction when it was revealed that the Saudi Air Force trainee, Mohammed Alshamrani, who carried out a deadly attack on a military base in Pensacola, Fla., was working with al Qaeda operatives as far back as 2015, the FBI announced.
The attack happened in Pensacola, Florida on 6 December 2019 in which three U.S. sailors were killed and 8 were wounded.
The bureau emphasized that the member of Royal Saudi Air Force who attacked U.S. militants last year had a link with al Qaeda in a military camp.
Alshamrani cooperated with al Qaeda and his phone has already proven useful, U.S. officials said.
