“Human Rights in the Shadow” Art Festival kicks off

 

 

The Art for Truth Center, in collaboration with the Association for the Defense of Victims of Terrorism, is holding the “Human Rights in the Shadow” painting festival .

According to the Public Relations of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, the painting festival of “Human Rights in the Shadow” is for defense of the human rights of victims of terrorism and explaining the shadow of politics on the human rights.

Hossein Aghaeipour, the festival secretary, said that art is a sublime language in conveying the message between human beings and nations, and works of art can convey the message to any audience and in any language without time and space restrictions.

secretary of the Art for Truth Center continued, “With the cooperation of professors, artists and the Association for Defending  Victims of Terrorism as a civil society organization active in the field of human rights of victims of terrorism, we want to explain the heavy shadow of politics on the human rights benefits of victims of terrorism.” Let us portray the darkness of terrorism in human society so that we may sympathize with the suffering of these loved ones and alleviate their suffering a little. Those who have no other helper than patience and hardship to realize their rights in the highly politicized uproar of human rights.

“By combining colors, we intend to defend human rights as the highest universal ideal and the greatest human achievement for many years, and to cast some of the shadow of the political monster on these fundamental humanitarian rights,” he said.

In the end, he said, the Human Rights in the Shadow Art Festival will begin on December 10, 2021 coinciding with the International Human Rights Day, and will end on the 27th January 2022. Artists and painters can send their works (maximum three) to the festival secretariat during this period. Also, the closing ceremony and announcement of the best individuals and awarding of prizes will be held on February 3, 2022, simultaneously with the International Day of Human Fraternity. In this art festival, a cash prize of 12, six and three million Tomans will be awarded to three winners. Selected works submitted to the festival secretariat will be displayed in a group exhibition.
