The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, in cooperation with the Department of Education, the Martyr Foundation, Robat Karim Governorate and Municipality, organized an event with the title of Awarding the 2022 Human Rights Award to the daughter of the martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh on the occasion of World Human Rights Day with the presence of city and provincial officials, human rights activists, families of martyrs and students in the hall of education department of Robat Karim city.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mr. Hosseini, the director of Robat Karim Department of Education, welcomed the audience and thanked the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism. He said as the leader of the revolution pointed out, keeping the memory of the martyrs alive is no less than martyrdom itself. Commemorating the families of martyrs is our duty and the least we can do.
He continued, many of the measures taken in Iran were supported by the effect of blood of the martyrs, and if it were not for them, we would not be in peace and security, and we would not have a comfortable life, and the blood of the martyrs has preserved our country. According to our religious teachings, the martyrs are alive and among us and help us in our work.
In the end, the Director of Education Department of Robat Karim said, in the city, the schools were named after many martyrs and we will try to commemorate the memory and names of the martyrs in the schools of the city.
Next speaker, Ms. Manijeh Safiyari, on behalf of the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, said in a speech, “The terrorist attack injured 70% of my body, and with the remaining 30% of my health, I will try to defend the victims of terrorism until the last moment.”
She added, human rights are a divine gift that the creator of the universe has granted to all human beings from the beginning of creation until after death, and all people regardless of color, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, and geography are equal in enjoying these rights.
She went on to say that, unfortunately, in our time, terrorism, violence, arms race, extra territorialism, foreign interventions, have complicated human life like a storm and violated all the fundamentals of human rights in a catastrophic manner and accompanied it with a continuous threat. The planning of the modern and civilized world has not been very effective in protecting these basic human rights, and the side effects caused by the hegemonic policies of the time have darkened a large part of the human society like a dark night.
This terror veteran continued to say that the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, with the festival of Martyr Anis Nouri, who was assassinated at the sunset and next to the Iftar table with the crime of black-hearted Hypocrites (MEK), seeks to honor the survivors by awarding a special human rights award to the survivors to strengthen hope and promote human rights and make life easier for the heartbroken of terrorist disasters, as the main examples of human rights violations.
In the end, she said, today the human rights award of 2022 is awarded to the daughter of Martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh, who was martyred in the terrorist attack of ISIS while working.
In another part of the ceremony, the statement of Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, on the Human Rights Day was read by one of the students of Shahed Behesht School. In a part of this statement, it is stated that racism, intolerance and discrimination are rampant. The world is facing unprecedented and intertwined challenges for human rights, and we are just beginning to understand the threat that some new technologies pose to human rights.
In another part of this statement, it is said that these tough times call for the renewal of our commitment to all human rights – civil, cultural, economic, political and social, and I ask the member states, civil societies, the private sector and others to put humanity at the center of efforts to reverse today’s destructive trends.
At the end of the statement, it is stated that human rights are the foundation of human dignity and the cornerstone of peaceful, inclusive, just, equal and prosperous societies. On Human Rights Day, we reaffirm the universality and indivisibility of all rights as we defend human rights for all.
Then, Ms. Zainab Sabzalizadeh, the daughter of Martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh, said in a speech, greetings to those who lost their lives so that we do not lose our lives. Greetings to the holy martyrs. Greetings to the people who protect these bloods.
Ms. Sabzalizadeh continued and honored the memory of her father and said, Father, I leave my heart to the heavens to show you its writings. My wish is that I was by your side like the clouds, you don’t know how much I miss you, and my tears are proof of the intensity of separation and longing. Father, I wish to talk to you, but how and in what language?!
Martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh’s daughter continued to say, my father, I would like to go back to the past, to the days when I was always in your loving arms. Today, we understand well what an irreversible goodbye means, what loneliness means, and what longing means. You are now in the heavens; we stayed in the world with your beautiful memories. O hero of life, I always love you.
At the end, she said, now all I have is my mother and brother, and when I lost my father, I lost all my life and the hero of my life. I always waited for my father to come back from work and now that I have lost my father, I have lost the sun of my life. And I feel that I have half a life.
At the end of the event, the family of Martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh was honored and the first special award commemorating Human Rights in December 2022 was awarded to Ms. Zeinab Sabzalizadeh, daughter of Martyr Maziyar Sabzalizadeh, who was martyred in the ISIS crime.
Also, in a part of this ceremony, the song “Father Didn’t Come” was played and a song called “Sympathy” was performed by the students. Then, a group of students gave a flower to the photo of Martyr Sabzalizadeh.
