The leader of the world’s Catholics, in his speech, announced that he thinks with great pain about the situation in Gaza under the Zionist attacks and considers what happened there to be a “great and cruel injustice”.
On the occasion of the approach of Christmas, Pope Francis called on all parties to the conflict to cease hostilities and stated: While Ukraine continues to be under attack, these attacks sometimes target schools, hospitals and churches. Let the guns fall silent and Christmas carols resound throughout the world.
The spiritual leader of the world’s Catholics added: “Let us pray for a ceasefire at Christmas in Ukraine and throughout the Middle East and on all fronts in the world.” Pope Francis said he thought of Gaza with great pain, adding: “This is a great injustice. Children are being shot with machine guns, schools and hospitals are being bombed, and such injustice cannot be tolerated.”
