A gathering of the terrorist group MKO in Paris was banned due to threats to public order.

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - The Paris Metropolitan Police has banned a rally that was scheduled to be held in the French capital on Saturday, called by the terrorist group the MKO and some groups aligned with it.

According to IRNA , according to a ruling issued by the Paris Metropolitan Police, this decision was made due to sensitive security conditions, the possibility of tension and conflict between different groups, and possible risks to public order.

The rally was scheduled to be held near some government centers and diplomatic missions in Paris.

The terrorist group of the MKO and its affiliated networks in Europe had launched an extensive effort in recent weeks to promote this program in the media and virtual space, introducing it as a large gathering against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Among the organizers of this program is the so-called “National Council of Resistance,” which is considered the political showcase of the terrorist organization of the MKO.

This movement attempted to organize a program against the Islamic Republic and the people of Iran by abusing some human rights slogans.

Regarding the ban on this gathering, French authorities have cited the possibility of disruption of public order and clashes between groups with opposing views.

Political observers believe that this group, due to its history of cooperation with the Iraqi Baath regime and terrorist acts against the Iranian nation, does not have a social base and has failed in attracting public participation and creating social mobilization over the past years, despite spending extensive advertising costs.
