Sheikh Al-Azhar’s harsh criticism of the deadly silence of the world against Israel’s war crimes
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - Ahmad Al-Tayeb said: The Islamic Ummah should do its best to show solidarity with children, women, youth and the elderly in Gaza and with our nations in Sudan, Yemen and other places.
According to “Hawza” news agency, Ahmad al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, in his speech on the occasion of the birthday of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) which was held at Al-Manara International Conference Center and by the Ministry of Endowments in the presence of the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Held, he said: We should make a comparison or a debate between the war based on the Islamic Sharia and its high humanitarian model and the ugly image of the new war in the 21st century, which has resulted in genocides, brutal massacres and heinous crimes.
He added: These crimes are committed against the oppressed people that our powerful and civilized world has turned away from supporting and standing by the oppressed, and like the graves, they have remained silent in front of their pain and cries, and then they give charity. To the poor nations, he is content with saying dry and empty condolences, or he deals with these crimes with cold feelings that remind of the feelings of a murderer who walks in the funeral of his dead and returns the condolences of the people.
Sheikh Al-Azhar continued: It is enough for us to learn once again that it is not correct to compare good and evil, between goodness and ugliness, between virtue and vice, and between the law of the jungle.
Ahmad al-Tayeb said: The lesson that we should remember on the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family and peace be upon him) is that this nation should respect itself and its ancient and proud history and its material and spiritual abilities and creative abilities. Let’s inform ourselves and be sure that if we want to know the way to cure ourselves.
He clarified: The nation should do all its efforts to show solidarity with the children, women, youth and elderly of Gaza and with our nations in Sudan, Yemen and other places and know that this is not a sign of these suffering nations on earth. . Rather, it is the duty of kinship in religion, blood ties, kinship and shared destiny.
