In observance of National Children’s Week, the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, in partnership with the Ambassadors of Peace and Friendship Group, held a commemoration ceremony at the Tehran Book Garden (Bagh-e Ketab) to honor the student martyrs of Minab.
The event featured a symbolic installation titled “Left-Behind Shoes,” representing the loss, grief, and suffering endured by the families of the student victims from the Shajareh-ye Tayyebah School in Minab. Photographs of the attack on the school were displayed alongside dozens of school bags and pairs of shoes. The initiative aimed to foster solidarity between visitors and the victims from Minab, underscoring that violence against children—regardless of geography, nationality, or religion—must be condemned everywhere in the world.
Student attendees took photos with the displayed bags, expressing their solidarity with these innocent children who fell victim to extreme, state-perpetrated violence.
The program also included various other activities, such as recitations from the *Shahnameh* (the Persian epic poem) for the students.
It is worth noting that the “Left-Behind Shoes” installation has previously been presented in several other countries, including Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
