ADVT Statement on Terrorist Incident at the Kandahar Mosque in Afghanistan
The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism condemned the terrorist incident in a statement at the Fatemieh Mosque in Kandahar.
The statement is as follows:
Once again, the terrorists killed hundreds of innocent people during Friday prayers at the Fatemieh Mosque in Kandahar.
The continuation of attacks on mosques, churches and synagogues in recent years in the world proves that terrorism has gone beyond a misinterpretation and ideological extremism for many years and has played a role as a tool to preserve and develop the interests of the hegemonic system. Terrorism is not related to any religion, because the divine religions and their followers are always among the first targets of anti-religionists because of their enlightenment, and terrorism, takfir and extremism are the actors in this scene.
The question really cannot be answered about what the value and honor of killing defenseless worshipers for terrorists is. Except that it shows that these inwardly blind, with whatever identity they have, in the path of producing crime in human society, have no way to confirm their existence and submission to their leaders and this is the reason why they commit such atrocities with all their cruelty that break the heart of every human with any faith and tendency.
The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, while condemning this horrific tragedy and expressing its condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a quick recovery to the survivors of this terrorist attack, calls on the international community and the UN, religious leaders and all human rights activists to disclose the nature and background of these criminal mercenaries with any identity and undermine the social context for the endurance of terrorism and extremism.
