American anti-war activist: US action in attacking children at Shajarah Tayyiba school is unacceptable

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - The International Conference on State Terrorism against Children, focusing on analyzing the infanticide policy of the American-Zionist coalition, was held in cooperation with civil society organizations in Tehran, including the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, on Wednesday, June 13.

At the conference, which coincided with the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Military Aggression and Violence, David Swanson, an American human rights and anti-war activist, referred to the concept of terrorism and said, “The word ‘terrorism’ in the media where I live in the United States means violence that must be met with violence. In other words, the concept of terrorism is a call to use terror to counter terrorism.” He continued, “No other government comes close to the United States in terms of investment in war and the frequency of its use, and perhaps using the word terrorism can help us understand this reality.”

Referring to the war crime tragedy against the students of the Minab school, the anti-war activist said, “When the United States blows up a school and kills 156 people, 120 of whom are children, that is only a small part of the killing, wounding, traumatizing, impoverishing, and destroying. It is even more unacceptable when the victims are older. It would be even more unacceptable if it were done at close range with a knife instead of a missile. It would not be acceptable if it were done against members of a military force who are also human beings and not targets for massacre.”

On the sidelines of this conference, the performance “The Remaining Shoes” was held by the Peace and Friendship Association, the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, and the Chatra Institute. On the sidelines of this event, Ms. Marzieh Dehghani, a resident of Minab and the families of the victims of the crime against the Shajare Tayyebeh School in Minab, called on all artists, cyberspace activists, and those with platforms to defend the oppression of Minab’s children and put this issue at the forefront of their campaigning efforts.

On August 19, 1982, June 4 was designated as the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Military Aggression and Violence.
