Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism – The International Justice Center for Palestinians intends to submit photographs taken by Anadolu Agency correspondents in Palestine and its book “Evidence” to the War Crimes Unit of the British police “Scotland Yard”, which is working to collect evidence related to violations and crimes committed by Israel. These photos prove Israel’s use of white phosphorus during its ongoing devastating war on Gaza since last October 7. The “Evidence” book prepared by Anatolia also includes photos taken by its photographers in Gaza to be used as evidence before international law of Israeli “war crimes” in the Strip.
By providing these photos and documents, the Center aims to use them in British investigations into Israeli war crimes, and independent cases brought against “Israeli crimes” from around the world.
The War Crimes Unit of the British Police Scotland Yard, which cooperates with the International Criminal Court, examines the evidence submitted relating to Israel committing war crimes in Gaza, and refers that evidence and information relevant to the ongoing investigations to the International Criminal Court.
In this context, an independent organization based in the United Kingdom called the International Justice Center for Palestinians is establishing an official channel to communicate with the British police, and to support police efforts in collecting evidence related to Israeli war crimes.
Anadolu’s correspondent in the British capital, London, handed over to the director of the International Justice Center for Palestinians, lawyer Tayyeb Ali, photos taken by Anadolu Agency’s correspondents, proving Israel’s use of white phosphorus in Gaza.
He also handed him copies of the “Evidence” book, which includes photos documenting Israeli war crimes, in addition to photos of photojournalist Mustafa Kharouf while he was being attacked by Israeli forces during his work in occupied East Jerusalem.
The center’s director, Tayyeb Ali, said that the center is “currently working to include the documents and pictures contained in the book (Guide) published by Anadolu Agency, including pictures that clearly reveal the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, within the ongoing investigation operations by the British police.” .
Ali added that the center “has begun conducting an investigation into the war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza,” noting that this is a process that “requires a lot of work and judicial care.”
Ali stated that they “included in the investigation process the evidence provided by doctors from the Gaza Strip,” pointing out that this evidence “explained Israel’s use of white phosphorus bombs in Gaza.”
He said: “It is very important to include the photos proving Israeli war crimes, which were obtained from the Anadolu Agency, in the investigation files,” noting that “the photos taken by the Anadolu Agency’s lenses show Israel’s use of white phosphorus bombs in Gaza.”
Ali added: “The evidence that was presented to us is very, very important, and we will in turn provide these photos and evidence to the British police for use by the International Criminal Court.”
He added: “We will also work to provide law enforcement agencies around the world with those photos and documents so that they can conduct the necessary investigations and possibly prosecute (Israel).”
He said: “Whether some believe that these practices are a war crime or not, it is now completely clear that Israel committed an act that entails a high risk that rises to the level of a war crime.”
He continued: “Therefore, arms manufacturers and suppliers, as well as countries that supply weapons to Israel, must fulfill their obligations towards international law, which stresses the necessity of not providing these weapons to a country that is likely to use them in criminal acts.”
He pointed out that “Anatolia Agency’s photos are very important and will be analyzed by experts,” adding: “Our investigation focuses on war crimes. These are extremely important materials and also highlight the importance of journalists practicing their work independently and correctly. These photos and documents constitute an invaluable part of “Our investigation.”
He added: “If (the court) does not do what is necessary towards Israel, it will effectively become an imperialist tool in the hands of Western countries.”
Ali said: “The most important point in these photos (in Anadolu Agency’s book “The Evidence,” which clearly reveals the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza) is that they contain key information such as the name of the photojournalist who took the photo and the date of photography.”
He continued: “This is really important evidence. This work (the book) is very important because it will help us create a clear picture within a chronological order of events as well as determine where certain events occurred. It is very important.”
