Closing of the Human Rights in the Shadow Exhibition by Zibakenar: The Tool of Art is the Most Powerful Tool for Conveying the Narrative of Victims of Terrorism

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism, in cooperation with the Zibakenar Modern Art Gallery, held the Human Rights in the Shadow Painting Exhibition by Zibakenar
The closing of the exhibition was held on May 1, coinciding with Labor and Teacher’s Day, at the Zibakenar  Modern Art Gallery in Gilan Province.
Hossein Aghaeipour, the director of the Zibakenar Modern Art Gallery, welcomed the families of the victims of terror and said, “In the Human Rights in the Shadow Festival, we tried to portray a corner of the pain and suffering of the victims of terror with the tool of art.” He continued, “This exhibition has also been held in Tehran and Rasht, and this is the third time that this exhibition has been held.”
Finally, Mr. Aghaeipour said, “We intend to hold the second Human Rights in the Shadow Festival in cooperation with the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism in order to collect works on the human rights violations of women and children victims of war and terrorism.”
In another part of the ceremony, Ms. Khairkhah, the daughter of the martyred teacher, told a story about her father’s martyrdom in December 1981 at the hands of the MKO terrorists and said, “It is appropriate to ask all the victims of terror, who are among the most oppressed martyrs, what sin did they commit when they were killed?”
Continuing the ceremony, Ms. Jalizawi, the daughter of the martyred teacher, shared her memories of her father’s martyrdom in the MKO terrorists mortar attacks in Ahwaz in 1999 and said, “The MKO martyred my father while they were under the support of Saddam Baath in Iraq and are now continuing their terrorist activities in their camp in Albania under the support of Western countries, including Germany and France. She also thanked the artists who have produced images about the Ahwaz terrorist incident and called for this path to continue.
