UN experts: companies that send weapons to Israel are complicit in war crimes

Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - A group of UN experts warned arms and ammunition manufacturers against participating in the transfer of arms to the Zionist regime, saying that this could make them complicit in human rights violations and violations of international law.

According to ISNA, this group of 30 experts, including several UN special rapporteurs, announced that the arms manufacturers and arms suppliers to the Zionist regime should stop transferring their military equipment “even if they are carried out under the existing export licenses”.

According to the Reuters news agency, these experts announced in a statement: “By sending weapons, parts, components and ammunition to the Israeli forces, these companies have created the risk of complicity in serious violations of international human rights and international humanitarian laws.”

There was no immediate comment from the Zionist regime, which has repeatedly denied abuses in the Gaza operation and said it was acting in self-defense and fighting Hamas, not the Palestinian people.

These UN experts also said: since the International Court of Justice last month accused Israel of stopping its military attack on Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip in an emergency decree, the risk of the complicity of arms manufacturing companies in the genocide of the Gazans has increased. is

The statement continued: “In this context, the continued transfer of weapons to Israel may be seen as knowingly assisting operations that are in violation of international human rights and international humanitarian law and may result in the benefit of such assistance.”

The United Nations Human Rights Office also announced on Wednesday that the Zionist forces may have repeatedly violated the laws of war and did not distinguish between civilians and soldiers in Gaza, while Tel Aviv called these findings incomplete.
