Nowhere in Gaza is safe
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - The United Nations Security Council meeting was held regarding the attack on the Taba'in school by the Zionist regime, and most countries, while condemning the Zionist regime, emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
According to a report from َAl-Jazeera, the UN Security Council meeting on Gaza was held while criticizing the Zionist regime took up a large part of the meeting’s time.
Based on this, Riyad Mansour, the representative of Palestine in the United Nations, said in this meeting: Israel is a rebellious and rebellious regime.
Referring to the massacre of Taba’in school by the Zionists, he pointed out: Israel does not care about your condemnation. They reject the resolutions of the Security Council and do not even listen to your words.
Criticizing the international forums, Mansour added: The Security Council and countries were responsible for stopping the Zionist regime’s judicial immunity months ago. As the genocide continues in Gaza, you have a responsibility to respond. You must do this to save people and establish peace and security. Israel is a rogue state with a corrupt government that enjoys its brutality against the Palestinians because of its impunity.
The representative of Algeria, which was held at the Security Council meeting at the request of this country, also said: We want this council to decisively support the Palestinians. We demand the immediate establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza based on the request of the Security Council resolution and we support the efforts of international mediators in this regard. Now is not the time to delay or complicate negotiations by adding new preconditions.
The British representative in the Security Council said that the Zionist regime should allow the Red Cross access to the Palestinian prisoners and Hamas should release the hostages.
The representative of France also said in this meeting: “France strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s attack on al-Tabain school in Gaza.”
The representative of China also strongly condemned this attack, civilian infrastructure should not be the target of military operations; This is a red line in international humanitarian law.
Attacking a school where a large number of civilians are sheltering, in broad daylight, repeatedly, is a heinous act.
Even the place that Israel had declared as a “safe zone” is now under new bombings and people have been forced to flee.
The US claimed that Israel accepted the ceasefire agreement, but the reality is quite the opposite. Instead of credible signs of Israel’s commitment to a ceasefire, what we see is an expansion of military operations and an increase in civilian casualties.
The representative of Slovenia also said in this meeting that the time for a ceasefire has come.
This Saturday the world was once again shocked by another devastating airstrike in Gaza, one of the deadliest ever.
Slovenia strongly condemns the Israeli attack on al-Tabeen School in the center of Gaza City, which showed complete disregard for the lives of Palestinians.
Yesterday, a reporter asked me how many more reports this council needs to change the situation in Gaza. Indeed, we receive these reports so that we can take action.
We have passed four resolutions, but we have never followed through on their implementation. The time to act is now. The time has come for a final ceasefire.
