The Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism in cooperation with the Workers’ House, on the 40th anniversary of Anis Nouri’s martyrdom on the 15th of Ramadan, held an iftar event entitled “Sunset in the Sunset” to commemorate the martyr Anis Nouri. It was attended by workers, Anis Nouri’s family and martyrs’ families and officials and national figures.

Mr. Mahjoub, the head of the Workers’ House, said at the beginning of the ceremony, “Tonight we are hosting a martyr whom we are indebted to.” He continued, “She prevented the assassination of others with her courage and martyrdom, and it can be said that the martyr had heroic characteristics and her will always be with us.”

In another part of the event, Mr. Hamzei, the Head of International Relations of the Workers’ House, said in honor of the memory of Martyr Anis Nouri, “Let us remember the Martyr of the House, who was martyred by the Hypocrites on the 15th Ramadan.” He continued, “The development of a country depends on the services of workers.”

Next, Mr. Yaghoub Estilaf, the husband of Martyr Anis Nouri, thanked the Workers’ House and the Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism for organizing a commemoration event for Martyr Anis Nouri. He said, “Hypocrites rang the door and said they had brought a bowl of soup. I was sitting at the Iftar table with my wife and two children. After my wife opened the door, suddenly there was a commotion and the house exploded for a moment. Yes, shoot inside the house and they also set the house on fire with gasoline.

When I came to the door, I saw my wife who fell down in blood, and with the help of our neighbors, we took her to the hospital, which was late, and she was martyred,” Mr. Estilaf said. He continued, “The martyrdom of innocent people by the Hypocrites made the appearance of the Hypocrites known in our country, and the people became aware of the oppression, crime and injustices committed by these brutal Hypocrites.” It does not matter now whether one is left or right, for or against, all the political groups hate these brutal Hypocrites because they are criminals and do not adhere to any values.

In the end, Mr. Yaghoub Estilaf said that all the officials are indebted to the blood of the martyrs.

In another part of the event, the letter of the family of martyr Anis Nouri addressed to the UN, French and Albanian officials was read.

In part of this letter, it is stated that on 15 Ramadan, coinciding with 7 July 1982, at the time of the Maghrib Azan, a family was preparing the Iftar table when the doorbell rang and a voice said that he had brought a soup. When the mother of the family opened the door, she was confronted by two armed men who also had a bowl of soup in their hands, and when she saw this horrified scene, called her husband, at which point the attackers fired at the whole house and the terrorists set the house on fire by pouring gasoline.

In another part of the letter, it is stated that this is an example of the blind crime of the Hypocrites (MEK) in the brutal attack on the house of a worker who was preparing the Iftar table during the Maghrib call to prayer. Today, on the 40th anniversary of this heinous crime, commemorating the memory of this mother we can name her the first martyred woman of iftar.

At the end of the letter, the family of Martyr Anis Nouri called on the United Nations, the Secretary-General, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Special Rapporteur of the situation of human rights in Iran, the European judicial authorities, the Minister of Justice, the Prosecutor, the Foreign Minister and the French and Albanian Parliaments to investigate on this incident and persecute in the respective countries as refugees in order to clarify the truth, provide access to justice for this family after 40 years, and end 40 years of impunity for this crime against humanity.

At the end of the ceremony, the workers, the families of the martyrs and the officials of the Workers’ House presented flowers to the statue of Martyr Anis Nouri, honoring the memory of the martyr and expressing their deep disgust with this heinous act of the Hypocrites.
