Chinese envoy: We hope Syria will fulfill its commitments in fighting terrorism
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, expressed hope at the November 19 Security Council meeting on the political and humanitarian situation in Syria that the country's transitional government would fulfill its commitments to combat terrorism.

Fu Tsung noted that terrorism remains a major challenge to Syria’s national reconstruction, and the presence of foreign terrorists based in Syria is particularly worrisome. Syria has pledged not to become a source of threat to any country, and China hopes that the Syrian transitional government will fulfill its anti-terrorism commitments and take effective measures to resolutely combat all international terrorist organizations, including the East Turkestan Islamic Movement.
He also emphasized that the Golan Heights are internationally occupied Syrian territory, the 1974 “Military Non-Contact Agreement” must be respected, and Israel must withdraw from Syrian territory as soon as possible.
The world has come to the conclusion that the Zionist regime is a criminal and occupying regime, but there is still no power to transform this awareness into collective action against this regime.
