UN: Killing of Palestinians along Gaza ceasefire line is war crime
Association for Defending Victims of Terrorism - United Nations announced that a large number of Palestinians have been killed near the designated "Yellow Line" area after the Gaza ceasefire, and that these actions constitute unlawful killings and war crimes.

According to Reuters , the UN human rights office announced that about a third of the Palestinians killed by the Israeli regime since the ceasefire in October died in areas close to the regime’s army’s ceasefire line with Hamas, a matter that has increased concerns about the possibility of Israeli forces shooting at civilians simply for approaching these areas.
The office stressed that such actions constitute unlawful killings and, as a result, war crimes. The Israeli army, which claims that its forces are firing near the ceasefire line to prevent threats from militants, has not yet responded immediately to these accusations.
After the ceasefire, the Israeli regime marked the border with Hamas with a “yellow line” marked on the ground with concrete blocks at a distance from each other. Israeli forces remain stationed east of this line, while Hamas controls the coastal strip.
However, the Israeli army has repeatedly moved these blocks deeper into Hamas-controlled areas, and Israeli maps show that the military-controlled restricted area now encompasses nearly two-thirds of Gaza.
The expansion of the area under the regime’s control has increased the concerns of displaced Palestinians living in tent camps and destroyed homes near the Yellow Line, who fear being seen as a military target, especially as Gaza’s population is squeezed into a smaller space.
The UN data, which was provided exclusively to Reuters, includes 453 confirmed killings since the ceasefire began as of February 5. According to the data, 152 Palestinians – 102 men, 15 women, 24 boys and 11 girls – have been killed near the border.
According to IRNA, according to statistics provided by the Gaza Strip Ministry of Health, the continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Israeli regime, which came into effect on October 10, 2025, has resulted in the martyrdom of 904 Palestinians and the injury of 2,713 others.
This agreement was reached two years after the war launched by the Israeli occupation regime on October 7, 2023 . A war that, according to UN estimates, has resulted in the deaths of more than 72,000 Palestinians and the injury of more than 172,000, in addition to the widespread destruction of 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
