in a move that may delay requests for the issuance of an arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, the International Criminal Court changed a judge who sought to issue this arrest warrant.
Judge Iulia Motoc, who led the initial efforts to review the case, stepped down for medical reasons to ensure the proper administration of justice. Motoc will be replaced by Judge Beti Hohler, a Slovenian judge who joined the court at the same time, the court announced.
International law experts warned that Motoc’s departure could prolong the process, and called the sudden change suspicious amid growing pressure from Tel Aviv and Western countries.
Last May, the International Criminal Court requested the issuance of an arrest warrant against Benjamin Netanyahu on charges of war crimes and war against humanity.
The Criminal Court also requested the arrest of Yoav Galant, the Minister of War of the Zionist regime, on charges of committing war crimes.
